Social Justice
The Social Justice Committee provides a focus for the social justice concerns of the members of the congregation by leading involvement in ongoing community activities and coordinating participation in other projects and social action throughout the year, through advocacy, community organizing, and individual and collective volunteer activity.
Volunteer opportunities are open at many organizations in and around Boston. All of the organizations listed here receive annual funding from First Church in Boston. Many of the organizations have First Church in Boston friends or members as volunteers. New volunteers are encouraged to contact the organization of their choice to become involved in ways that interest them. You may also contact one of the members of our Social Justice Committee by calling the church office.
