Children and Youth
Sunday School For All
We believe that parents are their children’s primary religious educators. We also believe that religious growth and learning is not just for children. So, here at First Church in Boston, we offer a unique opportunity, about once a month, to engage with life’s deeper questions and our oldest, sacred stories together, parents and children and any interested adults.
Sunday School For All is a fun, interactive, religious education experience for children, their families and adults of all ages. (Children ages 3 and up must be accompanied by an adult, adults of all ages are welcome too.) Religious learning is a life-long process of reflecting on our life experiences and the ancient stories from many traditions. Each session will be grounded in one of the seven principles of Unitarian Universalism and will feature a story from scripture, or one of the other six sources of our faith tradition. Participants will interact with the story and there will be activities for all. Each session will also include further resources for children and adults to explore the topic more deeply and suggestions for incorporating the teachings into daily religious practice.
All of the stories and activities from each session will be published on http://www.sundayschoolforall.blogspot.com along with resource materials and suggestions for further reading. The meeting dates and times for Sunday School For All are:
