Food Drive

The Simple Gift of Food

Since Sunday November 23, we have been collecting food to donate to the Greater Boston Food Bank.  These times of economic hardship are especially hard on those who have the least.  The shelves of food banks everywhere are in need of replenishment.  People are hungry.  The child poverty rate in Massachusetts is well above 11%.

Let’s take the opportunity to share our relative bounty with those who have less.  The information that outlines what foods are needed and how they are distributed is available in the narthex and will soon be available on the church website.

We can choose to approach the world in the spirit of abundance or the spirit of scarcity.  Let’s choose abundance!  Let our generosity be our gift, a simple gift of food.
