"The Bible is full of wonderful and inspirational stories and ideas that we as Unitarian Universalists can often benefit greatly from reading, regardless of what they do or do not mean to us religiously. The Bible also contains what are often called "difficult texts" - stories and ideas that can sometimes be harder for us as Unitarian Universalists living in the year 2014 to read and understand or accept. We are going to be exploring 2 Kings 2:23-25, a very difficult and controversial text in the Hebrew Bible and attempting to see what we as Unitarian Universalists might be able to learn from it."
