"Freeing the Creative Spirit"
In September, our children will be “Celebrating Creativity” including participating in International Dot Day. Dot Day was inspired by Peter Reynolds picture book “The Dot” in which a young girl does not know what to draw in art class. Her teacher encourages her to “Make your mark and see where it takes you.”
Children are not the only ones who need encouragement to paint, sing, dance, and exercise their imaginations. I believe that each one of us is born with a unique creative potential. When we make space to express ourselves beauty, innovation, and new ways come to life. However, we often become distanced from our creative spirit.
Join us as we begin a new season of religious exploration. Together, let us dedicate ourselves to being really alive.
Please bring water with you for our water communion. Whether you travelled to the other side of the globe or collect water from a nearby puddle, our individual contributions will blend together into one vessel. This ritual is symbolic of our lives joining together in religious community.
