"Life is Beautiful"
"In the wonderful 1997 film Life Is Beautiful, Roberto Benigni created a devastating but beautiful story about one man’s ability to remain “free” in a Nazi concentration camp. Vktor Frankl – author of the book Man’s Search For Meaning – himself a Holocaust survivor, reminds us that while we cannot always determine what circumstances we find ourselves in, we always have the freedom to choose how we respond to them. In our liberal religion, it is not the freedom to run away from something that gives us strength. It is the freedom to run toward something - something that gives life meaning and purpose. At this point in time, how important is this distinction?"
