Unitarian Universalists are often on the forefront of social change. We believe that a better world is possible and that we have the power and the ability to make it happen. But the work is hard and there are many roadblocks. We can feel disappointed and overwhelmed. I believe our faith reminds us that the work of change is not simply about the work itself, but how we do it. Our efforts must be grounded in a hopeful vision, fueled not by shame or self-righteousness, but by love. Only then will our work lead us to the world we want to see.
