Minns Committee

The Minns Committee is a joint oversight committee of First Church and King’s Chapel, sponsoring lecture events.  The committee is responsible for evaluating proposals, and then planning and scheduling the Minns Lectures.  The Minns Committee is financed by a large bequest, and overall financial overview is provided by the Trustees of First Church, in consultation with King’s Chapel.  The Committee is composed of the two Senior Ministers and three lay representatives of each congregation.  The stated purpose of the lectures is to present theological and historical perspectives on liberal religious thought, and the lectures have traditionally been presented in various parts of the country, including all the UUA seminaries as well as major churches.
