Worship Committee

Mission Statement:
Serving at the request of the ministers, the Worship Committee fosters aesthetic, smooth-flowing, welcoming worship services which support and sustain the spiritual and intellectual growth of the congregation.

Objectives:
1. Continue to provide support to ministers by assisting with Sunday and other service logistics, feedback on congregation questions/concerns/suggestions and idea generation for addressing them.
2. Increase “special” services and lay involvement in all services, e.g. through the recruitment of ushers, readers and chalice lighters.
3. Improve “spirit of meditation” in Sunday services, e.g. through usher encouragement and posting of signs that serve as gentle reminders to respect the silence of the sanctuary.
4. Partner with the Music Committee in a “Hymnal Drive” to increase number of current hymnals and add a new set of hymnals.
